Diversity & Inclusion

StepStone was built on a foundation of creativity, transparency, and trust. Not only have these principles helped us to better serve our clients, they have also helped us build a firm we are proud to be a part of. Neither of these things would be possible without a diverse and inclusive culture that lets each of our employees know—You Matter.

SDIN

The StepStone Diversity & Inclusion Network (SDIN) focuses on providing opportunities for our employees to learn about various D&I issues and initiatives and to meet with and talk to experts who are championing these causes.

Mentorship & Sponsorship Programs

Mentorship & Sponsorship Programs

We provide a variety of programs to help employees take their careers to the next level. The StepStone Sponsorship Program pairs promising mid-level women and minorities with one of the firm's partners as well as an executive coach who helps prepare candidates to become more effective leaders and managers. The StepStone Mentorship Program provides employees with access to one of their more senior colleagues who provide guidance and career advice.

Partnerships & Outreach

Partnerships & Outreach

In addition to promoting D&I through our own events (like Women in Finance), we sponsor and partner with several organizations dedicated to making financial services more diverse and inclusive.

Expanded Benefits

Expanded Benefits

To grow and maintain a diverse and inclusive workforce, we provide benefits such as: paid paternal leave, parental leave coaching, paying for travel with newborns and caretakers, paid shipping of breast milk, wellness rooms for new parents in every office, and paid volunteer time off.

Diversity & Inclusion Committee

To be successful, we must continue to build a company made up of people from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. To promote accountability, we established the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which sets D&I goals and reviews our progress towards meeting them.

A Global Perspective

Our employees collectively speak more than 50 languages. By bringing to bear these diverse perspectives and backgrounds, we hope to provide our clients with a truly global perspective.
